HARMONIZED DATA

Harmonized Health and Retirement Study (Harmonized HRS) is an easy-to-use version of data from the first 15 waves of the Health and Retirement Survey (HRS) with a set of harmonized variables suitable for cross-country analysis. Using a similar structure and naming convention to the RAND HRS, the Harmonized HRS contains variables that the RAND HRS does not already have and that further allow for comparison with other Harmonized datasets. Documentation for each variable in Harmonized HRS, including a description of its creation, the HRS variables used, and descriptive statistics, is detailed in the Harmonized HRS codebook.
