Harmonized Data

We have developed user-friendly, harmonized versions of data from the growing number of international aging and retirement studies. Using the RAND HRS as a model, these harmonized data sets allow users to compare identically defined variables across countries. All Harmonized data sets store data as individual-level records with information from multiple questionnaire modules and all survey waves. Where possible, all variables follow the same intuitive and consistent naming convention. We have developed these harmonized data sets to encourage cross-national comparative studies on aging.
