CRELES 1945-1955 Cohort: Study Overview

CRELES is a longitudinal survey of people aged 60 and older in the first cohort, and aged 55-65 in the second cohort, living in private households in Costa Rica. Its main goal is to examine determinants of longevity and explore how health and socioeconomic status interact to influence the quality of life of older adults. The survey elicits information about demographics, cognition, family structure, health, healthcare use, job status and history, income, and housing.
