SC1 Question The State wants to offer formal help with these activities to anyone who needs assistance for more than half an hour a day, which can be done in different ways.
SC1-1 Question A dependent person who needs the assistance of another person should be in an institution (such as a nursing home or hospital care), where he/she can get the appropriate care.
SC1-2 Question The best way that the State can help a dependent person is through family care and professional care (e.g. patronage nursing service, specialized social workers).
SC1-3 Question The best way that the State can help a dependent person is only through professional care (e.g. patronage nursing service, specialized social workers).
SC1-4 Question Dependent person will feel his/her best in the family home with family.
SC1-5 Question The best way that the State can help a dependent person is to offer his/her family partial payment in cash (for example, 45% of the market value of the services, but not more than 420 EUR/month) and they can provide for their loved ones by themselves.
SC1-6 Question People or family members who provide help for a dependent person must be properly trained.
SC2 Question Here we list some statements that represent various situations that could happen to you. We are still talking about assistance over an extended period (permanently or repeatedly);
SC2-1 Question If I were really sick and needed the help of another person permanently, I would like to be taken care of in a suitable institution (such as a nursing home or hospital care).
SC2-2 Question If I were really sick and needed the help of another person permanently, I would like to be taken care of by family, relatives or by people who are close to me.
SC2-3 Question If I were really sick and needed the help of another person permanently, I would like to have professional care provided and paid for by the state (e.g. patronage nursing service, specialized social workers) in my home.
SC2-4 Question If I were really sick and needed the help of another person permanently, I would like to be taken care of by a professional care provider paid for by the state in my home, together with help from family, relatives or people who are close to me.
SC2-5 Question I want to spend my old age years in a nursing home, or in an environment that will facilitate my everyday life.
SC2-6 Question I want to spend my old age in my home in a familiar environment that I know very well.
SC2-7 Question If there were the possibility of paid sick leave for employees for up to three months per year (for e.g. EUR 620/month, social contributions paid from your gross salary) in order to provide long-term care for a sick family member, I would use this option.
SC2-8 Question If I found myself in a situation where someone close to me needed help with everyday routines, I would be prepared to attend special training to be able to provide the kind of assistance he/she needed.
SC3 Question If I needed to care for a dependent person, and this help required more than half-an-hour per day, I would like the State to:
