New Open Position: Post-doctoral Scholar
Postdoctoral Scholar Positions – Center for Economic & Social Research, University of Southern California
The Center for Economic and Social Research, University of Southern California, anticipates openings for postdoctoral scholars interested in cognitive aging and Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias with a background in health economics, neuroepidemiology, cognitive psychology, biodemography, or a related quantitative health research area.
Candidate must hold a doctoral degree or equivalent by the start of the appointment and have a strong background in cognition/dementia or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates who have recently obtained their doctoral degree. Successful applicants are expected to demonstrate a high level of independence, a willingness to learn new approaches and to collaborate with other scholars, and an ability to think creatively.
Postdoctoral scholars will conduct research under the general oversight of Dr. Jinkook Lee and are expected to analyze data from the Harmonized Cognitive Assessment Protocol (HCAP) collected in one or more countries, including India, the United States, England, Mexico, and Korea. Our postdoctoral scholars have ample opportunity to collaborate with other researchers in HCAP studies with diverse backgrounds in economics, neuropsychology, psychiatry, demography, epidemiology, geriatrics, and genetics. Positions are dependent upon extramural funding and require a minimum appointment of one year. Salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Renewal is based on availability of support and performance.
